This online catalog was something I was working on for my good friends over at THEM GOODs distribution. These guys make some awesome bearings and rep the most progressive riders in the Inline Industry. Their brother company Valo also develops some amazing rollerblade technology as well. Who knew rollerblading had come so far? Not only have these guys really inspired me to get back into rollerblading, they even got me a pair of Skates!

WOOP WOOP officially a resident here in the lovely Artist's Village of Santa Ana. Looking forward to a stimulating and inspirational life amidst a cultivated community. My roomie and I will be having a house warming party on the first Saturday of February for the Santa Ana Art Walk. Come down and share in the splendor!
PEACE AND LOVE
Last week two friends and I held a collective art show at our schools undergraduate gallery. New works by my friends Joe Roseli and Aaron Madden were featured with some old pieces of mine as well as a pretty big installation i painted on the gallery walls. Aaron and Joe also busted some installations and overall the whole show felt very cohesive. Good Times all around and I look forward to future collaborations with these talented artists.

For my 483E web design class were redesigning an architects website.. The site's not completely up yet but should be within the next few days. This is what the home page looks like though.. I wish I new flash better cause I can totally visualize how it would all look if the different elements slide and flowed in.
These typographic case studies were originally used for a concept in my web design class. This sans serif typeface is called Cranberry Gin and works great for masking texture and images within the letter forms wide strokes. Comparative to Helvetica, I found the geometry of the letters intriguing and sought to contrast these with organic and ornamental textures and design elements to make things a little more interesting.

THESE ARE THE FIRST COLLAGES FROM A HUGE PROJECT I'M PLANNING. I'VE BEEN PUMPING OUT AT LEAST 10 A DAY SO IN ORDER TO GENERATE MORE IMAGERY I'VE DECIDED TO LEAVE THE MAJORITY OF THEM OPEN ENDED. THEN LATER I CAN APPROPRIATE THEM, ADD TYPE/DETAIL/ETC... I REALLY ENJOY THE COLLAGE PROCESS AND THINK THIS MAY BE THE MOST SATISFYING PROCESS FOR ME. .

THIS LOGO/LETTER COMBINATION WAS DESIGNED FOR A BUDDY OF MINE. I FOUND THAT DURING MY FIRST SKETCHES HIS TWO INITIALS WERE REMINISCENT OF THE YIN AND THE YANG AND HIM BEING THE COOL DUDE THAT HE IS I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE APPROPRIATE. AS WELL, I THOUGHT THE CONCEPT CONNECTED WITH HIS TRADE AS A PHOTOGRAPHER CONSIDERING THE DESIGNS SIMILAR QUALITIES TO THAT OF THE LENS'S SHUTTER. DUNNO IF YOU GUYS SEE THAT...
THIS IMAGERY WAS GENERATED THROUGH A PROCESS CALLED FRACTURING IN WHICH INFORMATION WITHIN MY PHOTOGRAPHS IS MANIPULATED TO THE POINT OF DISTORTION. THROUGH A COMBINATION OF COLLAGE AND COLOR MANIPULATION AS WELL AS MULTIPLE LAYERING THEESE EFFECTS WERE ACHIEVED. ALL I NEED TO DO NOW IS INCORPORATE SOME TYPE TO GIVE THESE GUYS SOME SORT OF FUNCTION. FUN FUN..

These d & p letter combinations were for a client involved in pairing and matching physicians with medical offices. I think i did about 50 different variations and then the client decided to go with a different name involving only type. These were fun though and I think there's a few I could probably elaborate on for possible portfolio pieces. Practice practice practice. I <3 TYPE
Project 4 for my digital Illustration class was to paint a topical illustration for a Magazine Editorial in photoshop. It's pretty self explanatory. Having been my first exercise in painting with photoshop I think it came out well. I had fun with it and I definatley look forward to painting more shit in ps. (=
The imagery presented here was composed from personal photography and scanned substances. The project was to eventually become a book showing the steps i used in order to acheive the resulting imagery. There were a few more images i manipulated but these were the only one's i felt were interesting... The project was initially for professor Theron Moore but i choose to drop his class the second week because i felt three special studies classes plus two studio's was too much. anyways......

This card came about from a project in my Typography C class. Quite funny actually.. Having to design a business card for a fellow graphic design student. I didnt really understand why the teacher didnt just have us design our own. In turn, i ended up getting a really weak design from the student that had to design my card. Kinda sucks cause i think i hooked this girl up...
